Bees and flies are familiar animals to all of us. However, not all of them try to catch the message that Allah has entrusted to them through bees and flies. Because God created all of His creations with a purpose and purpose aimed at humans. This is stated in the word of God: “Our God, You did not create this in vain, Holy be to you, so protect us from the torment of Hell”. (Q.S. Ali Imran: 191). The verse above explains that everything that God created gives a million wisdom that become lessons for humans. However, not all humans are able to learn lessons.
Seeing bees and flies will make a question arises. Why do bees find flowers quickly even though they are far across the ocean? Why do flies quickly find dirt even though it is closed with a tight cover. This is due to several characteristics between the two, namely:
First is the instinct and mind aspect. The instinct and mind of the bee is only to find the flower (kindness). Even in a very hungry condition, the bees only perch on the flower petals to take the sweetness of the flower petals. Even though it was very hungry, the flowers were never damaged, let alone to break a tree branch. In contrast to the instincts and thoughts of flies just for find dirt (crime), while, flies only have instincts and minds to looking for dirt. It is proud to look for dirt and lives to spread various germs that cause suffering to all creatures.
Second is the aspect of solidarity. The honey produced by bees is a compact accumulation of solidarity. The bee’s ability to collect honey is no more than its body weight. However, solidarity builds bee’s desire to achieve tasks and functions. All unite and work together without envy. When the bees are disturbed, all help each other. Its nature will not disturb if it is not disturbed. Unlike the fly, solidarity was never known to it. Everyone lives to fight for themselves. Fighting each other for rotten food continues. If there is an enemy who wants to disturb the community, all looking for each other’s safety regardless of each other. Even though the flies live in swarms, they don’t instinctively defend and help each other.

Third is environmental aspects and understanding the duties and functions. Look at the bee house. It was built together and used together as well. All arranged neatly in rooms of the same size. Even without measuring instruments, bees are able to make their nests in an orderly arrangement. The building materials are also made of substances that are also useful for humans (as a candle). All the bees work tirelessly, passionate and unyielding. All are carried out according to their respective duties and functions. There is no jealousy, let alone attacking each other. A clean and organized environment in good rules it turns out to help build the bee’s character for the better.
Contrary to the environment of flies, live without a home, just stick to a pile of waste, and a life without guidelines and regular tasks. The chosen environment turned out to build the nature of the fly. The slum environment builds the habit of flies to love dirt and hate cleanliness. For flies, dirt is the source of life.
The nature of bees and flies is a parable of human nature and instincts. Some people have bee’s instincts and some have fly’s instincts. Humans who have bee’s instincts will tend to seek goodness, spread kindness, and give kindness to others. They are not interested in bad things. Solidarity, understanding tasks and functions, living in an orderly environment are the capital for bees to build their personalities. It is glorious when humans look in the mirror of bees. Live only for something glorious and provide benefits to others.
Meanwhile, humans who have fly instincts tend to look for ugliness and cause harm to others.For humans with fly instincts, life is self-defense without knowing the harm to other creatures. Life for them is longing for a dirty environment. Indeed, goodness and badness depend on what instincts and brain movements drive people to do an action. If the type of bee becomes the basis of oneself, so everything around will get the sweetness of the goodness and usefulness that are spread.
However, if life is like a fly, so life only spreads germs and poisons that will harm or give badness to all those around it. Although humans prefer the products produced by bees, and do not like what flies do and produce, in life they imitate the behavior of flies. Like something dirty by justifying all means to maintain life, fighting for power only to get rotten food, looking for and opening up each other’s rottenness so that his success gets a place because he succeeded in making other people’s names be rotten.
Of course, the efforts to spoil others are carried out by a group of rotten flies that are present in the modern era. The times may be sophisticated, but unfortunately the nature of a few humans is still backward by choosing flies as their happy character or making the environment rotten. It is indeed glorious for humans to choose the nature of bees. For the glory of the bee on him, it is natural that Allah gave the name of the bee (an-Nahl) as one of the surah in the Qur’an. However, to become a bee requires perseverance and food choices that will enter to your body.
Referring to the exposure of bees and flies above, it can be seen that if the food that comes in is good, it will be good for you and everything that will come out of you. However, if the incoming food comes from badness or sourced from selling goodness into filth with various variants, it will make one dirty and excrete dirt for the rest of its life.
Maybe people can be fooled by the accessories that are displayed, but the heart and God cannot possibly cover the ugliness of oneself. And vice versa, if beneficial is chosen and comes out of various virtues in oneself, then even if a million achievements are to be achieved, it will not be able to be done. The goodness will still be looked for. Meanwhile, badness never makes human happy. Because, bees will never be flies and flies will never be able to become bees. The choice is there for every human being. It’s just that which choice will be chosen, of course, depends on the life choices to be taken, bees or flies.
